While many of us are missing out on family traditions this year, some of us are creating new traditions. In an effort to practice what I preach, I've been starting every workday by writing down three things that I'm thankful for. This month, I've brought my family in on the habit. My daughter decorated a mason jar, and we've written things that we're thankful for on slips on paper throughout the month. On Thanksgiving day, we're going to read them together over our meal. In a year where it's easy to get caught up in everything negative going on, it's important to give thanks for the good in our lives.
