My custom-built desk is here, and it is as amazing as I had hoped. You may recall that I had been working on a folding table since I started working from home in March. Made out of curly maple and wenge, it is even more beautiful than I had dreamed it would be. It has a keyboard tray to keep everything ergonomic and clear off space on my desk for coffee, snacks, and my iPad (which I use for taking notes by hand). My dock and laptop are tucked away behind the bookshelves. I can charge my iPad and small electronics in the drawers. My home office is finally feeling like an office.
