Earlier this week, I wrote about my three new lovely monitors. While they work and look great, my new monitor stand might be an even better investment.
Maximize Your Desktop Space

I previously had a monitor stand that mounted two monitors on top of each other. It served its purpose well. However, it used a large foot to support the monitors. That foot took up a significant amount of space on my desk - space I could use for my cup of my coffee, my notes, or a snack.
My new desk is smaller, more compact. A smaller desk will fit better in my home office, so I need to maximize my work space. This time around, I chose a Quad Computer Monitor Mount that uses a clamp to attach the monitor to the edge of the desk. It takes up minimal space on the top of the desk.
One Stand For All of Your Monitors
People often say that once you have two monitors, you'll never go back to one. I take that step further - I've had three monitors for half a decade, and there's no going back. While I've enjoyed having three monitors for years, I never had them all mounted on one stand.
Most monitor stands designed for three monitors mount two of them side-by-side and one on the top of them in the middle. While that may work well for most people, it wouldn't work well for my home office. With my desk positioned under a window, I prefer to have my top monitor stacked directly over one of the other monitors. I still get my three monitors, but I minimally block my view out of the window.
